I saw Harold & Kumar go to White Castle last Sunday at a small multiplex in Olney. (Only a handful of others in the theater besides me. )
Not sure what to make of the film. It had its funny moments, but as a friend says, it's not the kind of movie that you should think a lot about. (It seems to require a high degree of suspension of disbelief.) I suppose it's the kind of movie you should see stoned. Especially as getting high on marijuana and scoring dope is a big aspect of the film.
Another friend said he liked it better after he had a chance to think about it's significance or impact. He said he might possibly compare it's significance for Asian American's to "Chan is Missing". Hard to say. They're very different films in many respects.
Well, for now, all I can say is that Princeton Asians will never be the same. (And neither will the state of New Jersey, for that matter.)
